BS: Speech Communications & Theater, SDSU
BA: 7-12 English Education, SDSU
Endorsements: English Content Knowledge, Drama, Speech

Kimberly (Graff) Marcell completed her two Bachelor degrees in 2012, then immediately  began her teaching career at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
[SD]. There, she taught speech and sophomore English to more than 180 students per day on a seven-period-a-day schedule. In 2014, she transitioned to West Central High School in Hartford, SD where she served as sophomore English teacher and Director of Theater, teaching on both a six-periods-a-day and a rotating block schedule in her four years at WCHS. Kim also graduated with her Master of Education degree during her first year at West Central (2014).

In May of 2018, Kimberly Marcell moved to Great Falls, MT where she began a new position teaching Family and Consumer Sciences at Paris Gibson Education Center, a public alternative school. This led her to build meaningful relationships with a smaller group of high-needs students and very specialized staff. Two years later, in 2020, Kimberly was given the opportunity to teach Theater again, when she was made the Theater teacher and director for Great Falls High School. This brought Kim back to teaching her passion, theater, and working to make the arts a treasured part of her school and the Great Falls community.

Even beyond her career, Kimberly is most passionate about theater and connecting with people. She believes whole-heatedly in the importance of keeping the arts in public education, and in the important role of performance in social and emotional wellness. Kim also exhibits a great appreciation for the outdoors; she loves to SCUBA dive, hike, kayak, and travel with her husband (Michael) and their dogs (Moglee & Augie).
