Food Allergies in Infants & Small Children
1. Watch all of the videos below. Take notes as you do, writing down key information about the topic of children's food allergies.
2. Using what you have learned from past Child Development and Teen Parenting lessons, plus the information in the video, create a 10-15 slide presentation (slideshow) that gives facts to parents about food allergies. You CAN also use internet resources if needed... just make sure they are credible and correct.
Make sure your slideshow includes...
-images / photos / charts / graphics
-clear, correct text info that is easy to read
-Information on at least 4 of the most common food allergies ["The Big 8" is the name for the 8 most common food allergens]
-How parents can safely introduce their children to new foods
-Images and facts about what an infant/small child's allergic reaction looks like
-What parents should do if they believe their child is having an allergic reaction
3. Share your finished slideshow presentation with me via Google Drive (if slideshow is made with Google slides), or email me your finished PowerPoint slideshow: kimberly_marcell@gfps.k12.mt.us
You will receive 4 units for this assignment when ALL of the requirements have been met and I have received yoru completed slideshow.
